IWSL Club Managers:

All clubs must complete the Illinois Youth Soccer Association Organization Statement of Understanding and Agreement for the Fall 2007/Spring 2008 year. This pertains to the IYSA Goal Safety Policy (Rule 021-A) and Risk Management Policy (Rule 019). The policies, rules, and requirements are printed on the enclosed agreement.

Your club needs to comply with this policy by September 1, 2007 in order to be in good standing with IYSA and IWSL. The IYSA will not issue Tournament Permission to Travel Forms nor allow clubs who are not in compliance to participate in the State Cup. The IWSL will allow clubs to register for the Fall 2007 season but any games played by any teams of a club that is not KIDSAFE certified will be declared a forfeit until such club is certified, and such forfeiture will not be removed because of after the fact certification.

Attached you will find a copy of the IYSA Organization Statement of Understanding and Agreement, Disclosure Statement Instructions, Disclosure Statement, and name list form for covered individuals. A copy of the Agreement must be signed and the name list attached to it. They must be sent to the IWSL Corresponding Secretary. All soccer clubs and independent teams associated with IWSL must submit a completed Statement of Understanding and Agreement. You can view the IYSA Risk Management Policy (Rule 019) and IYSA Goal Safety Policy (Rule 021-A) at www.iysa.org.

To assist you with this process we have also entered into an agreement with SportsSignup for an online registration system for volunteer background checks. This is an option available to clubs to assist with background checks if desired, however the fees involved are the responsibility of the club and not the IWSL. You can go to the following website to access this system:

http://www.sportssignup.com/illinoiswomensrm.start

The page should say Illinois Women's Soccer League's KidSafe System at the very top and has a big "Click Here to Login and Register" button at the top.  Once users click that button it takes them to a page where they have the option to create an account if they have not previously done so or to log in if they have already created an account.

DO NOT FORWARD INDIVIDUAL DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS. Individual disclosure statements are to be kept in the strictest confidence by individual clubs or independent teams. Thank you in advance for your cooperation. For questions, please contact me at the numbers listed below. Completed IWSL KIDSAFE Club Certifications must be mailed or faxed by September 1, 2007 to me at the address below AND NOT TO THE IYSA :
