IWSL Club Managers:

All clubs must complete the Illinois Youth Soccer Association Organization Statement of Understanding and Agreement for the Fall 2009/Spring 2010 year.  This pertains to the IYSA Goal Safety Policy (Rule 021-A) and Risk Management Policy (Rule 019). The policies, rules, and requirements are printed on the enclosed agreement.

Your club needs to comply with this policy by
September 1, 2009 in order to be in good standing with IYSA and IWSL. The IYSA will not issue Tournament Permission to Travel Forms nor allow clubs who are not in compliance to participate in the State Cup. The IWSL will allow clubs to register for the Fall 2009 season but any games played by any teams of a club that is not KIDSAFE certified will be declared a forfeit until such club is certified, and such forfeiture will not be removed because of after the fact certification.

You can find a copy of the  IYSA Organization Statement of Understanding and Agreement, IYSA Rule 019 Risk Management Policy and Disclosure Form Requirements, Disclosure Statement, and name list form for covered individuals on the FALL 2009 REGISTRATION link/page at www.iwsl.com.  All soccer clubs and independent teams associated with the IWSL must submit a completed Statement of Understanding and Agreement.  A copy of the Agreement must be signed and sent to us with the name list of all covered individuals attached to it with a confirmation of each person’s kidsafe eligibility confirmation from the verification service you have used.  They must then be sent to the IWSL Business Office.    You can view the IYSA Risk Management Policy (Rule 019) and IYSA Goal Safety Policy (Rule 021-A) at www.iysa.org.

To assist you with this process we have also have an agreement with SportsSignup for an online registration system for volunteer background checks. This is an option available to clubs to assist with background checks if desired, however the fees involved ($10.00 per person) are the responsibility of the club and not the IWSL.
