GAME CHANGE RULES
Each team is allowed to initiate change to two scheduled games per season. Changes caused by any State Cup Scheduled game will be exempt, as well as weather postponements and closed fields. In those cases, contact the opposing coaches directly to reschedule the game and then email the league office (office@iwsl.com) to submit the change for posting. The team that is requesting the game change should submit the online request (It is not automatically the HOME team) and first must speak with the opposing team and have agreement on a make up date prior to submitting it. A. Any changes to the published league schedule (date changes, time changes, and changes to make up dates already rescheduled) must be submitted online via the Game Change/Reschedule Request . B. All requests must be submitted before the end of week 5 for a 10 game schedule or week 4 for an 8 game schedule. You can change games for weeks 5/6 thru season end, however the requests have to be submitted online by the week 4/5 deadline. Requests will not be processed after the deadline. C. The request must be submitted online to the IWSL at least 7 days prior to the date of the scheduled game or make-up game (whichever is earliest) by the coach requesting the game change. (The 7 day deadline would be by midnight of the same day in the previous week, example: the previous Sunday at midnight for a Sunday game). Requests submitted late will not be approved or processed, and will result in a $75.00 fine and forfeit for games not played as scheduled. D. If you are having difficulties agreeing on a date, etc., email our League Mediator, Brian Fairwood, for help at (brianfairwood@sbcglobal.net) at least 2 to 3 days prior to the deadline before you fail to meet the 7 day deadline for submitting the request. Brian will assist and mediate the matter. E. The request must include the date the makeup game will be played. Requests will not be accepted or processed that indicate TBD (To Be Determined) in lieu of a specific make up date. F. The opposing coach will offer makeup dates for a rescheduling of the game. If the opposing coach refuses to agree to the change, the requesting coach should contact the League Mediator immediately for assistance. The team refusing to cooperate loses the home field advantage. G. All rescheduled games must be played by the LAST DAY OF THE SEASON. H. A $75 fine will be assessed to the team responsible for the forfeit of any games not played. |
